NEW WORLD HANDICAPPING SYSTEM NOW ACTIVE

BY St. Margaret's November 6, 2020

A large number of members have now registered and logged in to the new Golf Ireland website to check their handicap index. If you have yet to do so, the link is here.

As per the email you received on Monday which highlighted some issues being experienced by the new platform, your handicap index is likely to change further as these teething problems are yet to be fixed as of the time of writing (Wednesday).

If you would like to know what your playing handicap will be based on the index currently being displayed on Golf Ireland, you can do so here.

Choose 18 hole round, then the option “without course rating minus par”.

Enter your handicap index along with the slope of whichever course you are searching for.

Our slope ratings are: Black 136 | Blue 134 | White 131 | Red 132

This will give you the course handicap for this set of tees. The playing handicap in a singles competition will be the course handicap x 95%.

If you have any queries, please send them to the Handicaps Committee by emailing handicaps@stmargaretsgolf.com.

DRESS CODE REMINDER

BY St. Margaret's June 6, 2020

We have noticed an increase recently in the number of male members who are turning up for their rounds in attire which fails to comply with our dress code. Please see the above which outlines suitable clothing for playing golf at St. Margarets’s. Members who do not adhere to our dress code will not be permitted onto the golf course.

We are highlighting this issue as we have noted some members wearing untailored shorts during the recent warm weather. i.e. football/swimming shorts. Please respect the dress code to avoid being approached by a member of staff in relation to this.

Thank you for your co-operation.
